SUMMARY

Intervention on the inner edge of the forest invites people to approach it physically and create the edge line by walking from one tree to another. This part of the project aims at activating the so called „transition zone”. Cylinders attached to the trees mirror the surrounding and sometimes brightly reflect light. Colored interior makes them noticeable from the side- the border line. The “marking spots” created by rythm of cylinders act as well as tools for framing the landscape one is immersed into. Through the act of walking, viewer participates in creating the space, becoming a temporary edge specie, or an inhabitant of the ecosystems’ transition zone. While moving, one can notice an irregular line of the natural border and its inscribed changeability.
